How did you hear Steve Tracy?
I had a friend who was a bartender in a popular gay bar in Hollywood and he was dating Steve. We met and I knew he was an actor and I asked him if he would be interested in appearing in my film.
The fact that he was gay led you to offer him the role is or what it was for other reasons?
I offered him the role because he was the guy I wanted to play the young, shy boy who wants to be more masculine in his fantasy.
According to his filmography that the role was the first he has done in the trade do you think at first she was prejudiced ?
It was not too interested in appearing in an X-rated movie because it already had a promising career in television legitimate and not do anything that could jeopardize his career.
It was also seen in the ultra VIXEN movie, Steve was no taboo on sexuality was he one to make sexual jokes ?
Steve had a great sense of humor and we were friends for a long time after finishing the film. He often came to parties and days at my house and pool was a great joker and storyteller.
How was Steve Tracy outside shooting ?
We got along very well. He dated my friend, Gary, for some time and they seemed to be really well together.
What was his reaction when he proposed the project ?
At first it was not too receptive to the idea because of his professional career. I assured him that he would not appear in any of the sex scenes so it felt a little more comfortable with this idea.
We see very little in the film, including passages of sex is a volunteer ?
Well, as I mentioned, because it was in the TV, LITTLE HOUSE ON THE PRAIRIE series, we had to be sure not to do anything that might cause him to lose that position. TV producers and sponsors of television are very strict that none of their players appear in anything that might cause problems with the viewers or, especially, with the sponsor. Playing a young character of this TV would be difficult if someone has seen in an X-rated movie.
Were you present at his funeral ? How did you hear about his death ?
No, I was not at his funeral. Several friends have told me of his death and I was sad to hear about it. I was busy working on a television series and had not been involved in any porn movies for a long time.
A final word to address our readers or on the project site ?
My years as director of Gay features were a great time for me and I think it prepared me for my work in later years as director. I quickly learned to shoot, how to get the best of my players because I had spent so much time with the players who were not trained actors, but simply sex-players. Many producers with whom I worked a few years later in movies and TV was aware of my history and it was never a problem for me. As I did the job and it was good, no one cared what I did in the past. But all these years and all these gay movies I've done a lot of good memories for me and I have made many friends during this time and have good memories of those years.
